Connect Meta Ads to Claude

MetaMCP is a third-party MCP connector that lets Claude AI read and manage your Facebook and Instagram ad accounts. Three steps — authenticate, generate URL, add to Claude.

Create your MetaMCP account

Go to metamcp.net/login and enter your email address. We send you a one-time code — no password needed. Your first month is free, no credit card required.

Email login — no password Enter your email → receive a 6-digit code → you're in. Account created automatically on first login.

Connect your Meta account

In your dashboard, go to MCP Settings and click "Connect with Facebook". You'll be redirected to Facebook to approve the connection. MetaMCP requests only the permissions it needs to manage your ads.

Facebook OAuth — secure, revocable You approve access in Facebook's own dialog. MetaMCP stores your token encrypted. Revoke any time from Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
  • ads_read — read campaigns, ad sets, ads and performance data
  • ads_management — create, pause and update campaigns
  • business_management — list ad accounts in your Business Manager
  • pages_show_list — list Facebook Pages (needed to create ad creatives)
MetaMCP is a third-party connector, not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. It uses Meta's official Marketing API (v19.0) to access only the ad accounts you authorize. You can disconnect at any time from MetaMCP dashboard or from Facebook Settings.

Generate your MCP URL

Still in MCP Settings, click "Generate URL". This creates a personal connector URL unique to your account. Copy it — you'll paste it into Claude in the next step.

Keep this URL private. Anyone with it can read and act on your connected Meta ad accounts. If it's ever compromised, regenerate it in MCP Settings — the old URL is invalidated instantly.

Add to Claude

In Claude (browser at claude.ai or Claude Desktop), go to:

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste your URL

Set tools to "Always approve" — this stops a permission popup on every tool call. Claude still asks you before making any change to your account.

Works with any Claude plan including free claude.ai browser, Claude Desktop, and Claude mobile. The connector loads 20 Meta Ads tools automatically once added.

Run your first prompt

Open a new Claude conversation and try one of these to confirm everything is working:

These limits are enforced in the server code — they cannot be changed by any Claude prompt or tool argument.

New campaign budgets are capped server-side regardless of what Claude is asked to set. Existing budgets cannot be changed via the connector.
