Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of MetaMCP (the "Service"), available at metamcp.net, published and operated by Anderseen OU, a company registered in Estonia ("we", "us", "Anderseen"). By creating an account, generating a connector URL, or otherwise using the Service, you ("you", "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
MetaMCP is a connector tool for advanced users. It implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so that AI assistants and AI agents — including but not limited to Anthropic's Claude — can read data from, and where you explicitly authorize it, make changes to, Meta ad accounts (Facebook and Instagram) that you control.
This Service is designed for experienced digital marketers, advertising professionals, and agencies who understand how Meta Ads work and are capable of reviewing and approving AI-suggested changes before they take effect. It is not intended for users who are unfamiliar with Meta advertising.
The Service does not include, and we do not provide:
- marketing advice, advertising strategy, financial advice, or investment advice of any kind;
- management, custody, or control of your Meta ad accounts, advertising budget, or any funds;
- any guarantee about the outcome, accuracy, profitability, or appropriateness of any audit, suggestion, creative, ad, or campaign produced by an AI assistant using the Service;
- employment, agency, or a fiduciary relationship of any kind between you and Anderseen.
We connect the pipes. The AI assistant interprets your instructions and decides what to propose. You decide what is allowed to happen in your own Meta ad accounts — including by reviewing what the AI proposes before approving any change.
2. Your Meta ad account stays yours and under your control
You access the Service by authenticating with your Meta account via OAuth, which grants the Service permission to act on the Meta ad accounts you authorize. You also generate a personal connector URL ("Connector URL") from your MetaMCP dashboard.
You are solely and exclusively responsible for:
- keeping your Connector URL confidential. It functions like a password. Anyone who has it can use it to act on your connected Meta ad accounts through the Service;
- the Meta OAuth permissions you approve when connecting your account, and revoking those permissions in Meta Business Settings when you no longer want the connection;
- the settings you choose in your AI assistant, including any "always approve" or auto-approval setting, which determines whether the AI asks for your confirmation before taking an action;
- reviewing every change an AI assistant proposes before approving it — including campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, pauses, and any other account modification;
- any consequence of your Connector URL being lost, leaked, shared, or compromised, including unauthorized use of your connected Meta ad accounts;
- all advertising spend incurred on your Meta ad accounts as a result of campaigns enabled, modified, or created through the Service — whether or not you intended those changes.
You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting in your MetaMCP dashboard (which NULLs the stored token) and/or by revoking app permissions directly in Meta Business Settings → Integrations. We recommend doing both if you believe your Connector URL may have been compromised. You can also regenerate your Connector URL in your dashboard, which immediately invalidates the previous one.
3. Safety defaults and their limits
Certain protective defaults are built into how the Service creates campaigns:
- New campaigns, ad sets, and ads are always created in a PAUSED state — they cannot spend until you manually enable them in Meta Ads Manager;
- New campaign budgets submitted through the Service are capped at a server-side maximum configured in your account settings.
These are engineering safeguards intended to reduce the risk of unintended spend. They are not a guarantee against loss, misuse, or error. You remain solely responsible for enabling, disabling, funding, and monitoring your own campaigns in Meta Ads Manager. Meta Platforms, Inc., not Anderseen, controls and operates the Meta advertising platform, billing, and ad delivery.
4. AI-generated output is not reviewed or guaranteed by us
Audits, audience suggestions, ad copy, creative concepts, campaign structures, and any other output produced when an AI assistant uses the Service are generated by that AI assistant — not by Anderseen. We do not review, approve, or guarantee the accuracy, suitability, policy compliance, or commercial outcome of any such output.
Where the Service exposes built-in guides or benchmarks for an AI assistant to reference, these are general starting points based on industry experience and are not tailored advice for your specific business, market, audience, or account.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving any change before it takes effect. You are also responsible for ensuring that all ads, creatives, targeting, and campaigns created through the Service comply with Meta's Advertising Policies, applicable law, and any platform-specific requirements.
5. Meta platform compliance
Your use of the Service must comply at all times with:
- Meta's Advertising Policies and Community Standards;
- Meta's Terms of Service and Platform Terms;
- applicable advertising standards, consumer protection law, and data protection law in all jurisdictions where your ads are shown;
- any special ad category requirements (housing, credit, employment, political) relevant to your campaigns.
We are not responsible for any ad account restriction, suspension, or ban imposed by Meta as a result of campaigns, creatives, or actions taken through the Service. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, cost, or penalty arising from your non-compliance with Meta's policies or applicable law.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect data associated with your account, including encrypting your Meta access token at rest using AES-256. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We do not store your Meta campaign data, creative content, audience data, or performance metrics — this data is retrieved live from the Meta Marketing API on each request and is not persisted by us.
If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid access is offered on a prepaid basis. When you subscribe, the corresponding period is added to your account's valid-until date. Subscriptions do not auto-renew. If you do not subscribe again before your valid-until date, paid access ends and the Connector URL may be restricted. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- access a Meta ad account you are not authorized to access;
- attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the safety defaults described in Section 3;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or the Connector URL mechanism without our written permission;
- create ads that violate Meta's Advertising Policies, applicable law, or third-party rights;
- use the Service in any way that could result in Meta restricting, suspending, or banning your ad account or ours.
We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for any account we reasonably believe is in violation of these Terms.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, policy compliance, or commercial outcome of any output produced by an AI assistant using the Service, nor the availability or behaviour of Meta's platforms or any other third-party service we connect to.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Anderseen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, wasted advertising spend, lost data, account suspension, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service;
- Anderseen will not be liable for any advertising spend incurred on your Meta ad accounts through campaigns created, modified, or enabled using the Service — whether or not those actions were authorized by you;
- Anderseen will not be liable for any Meta account restriction, ban, or policy enforcement action arising from your use of the Service;
- Anderseen will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to or use of your Connector URL or your Meta ad accounts, except where that unauthorized access resulted directly from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct;
- Anderseen will not be liable for any action taken, or change made to your Meta ad accounts, by an AI assistant or AI agent based on your instructions, your approval, or your account's permission settings;
- our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service, however arising, will not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Third-party services
The Service interoperates with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram advertising), AI providers such as Anthropic (Claude), and optionally OpenRouter for AI image generation. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, or any changes they make that affect the Service or your ad accounts.
"Meta", "Facebook", and "Instagram" are registered trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. MetaMCP is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. Use of these names is solely to identify the third-party services that MetaMCP interoperates with.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service, including adding, changing, or removing tools and features, at any time. We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use after a revised version is posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or where we reasonably believe continued access poses a security or legal risk. Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
15. Your privacy
Please read our Privacy Policy for details on what information we collect and how we use it, including how we handle your Meta access token and what data deletion requests we process.
